Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services employs over 800 men and women who respond to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency incidents, including fires, motor vehicle accidents, and other medical situations.

BC women and girls age 16+, ignite your firefighting passion on May 12

Apply for free, hands-on experience at our May 12 Tactical Day.

Together with Vancouver Police, Canadian Coast Guard, and the Royal Canadian Navy, we're partnering with the Achieve Anything Foundation to inspire female future leaders in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and related fields.

Activities include:

  • Hazardous materials decontamination
  • Automobile extrication
  • Live fire
  • Technical rescue, including a rappel from the burn tower
  • Heavy urban search and rescue drill

Lunch is included.
