Permits can be renewed on the first day of the month that the decal expires. For example, West End permits expire May 31, so renewals begin May 1.
Regardless of how you choose to purchase your permit, your application is treated the same way:

To make sure everyone has access to available on-street parking in their neighbourhoods:
If you live in the parking permit zone, have valid car insurance registered to your name and address, have a valid email address, and want to pay by credit card, you can purchase your parking permit online.
If you live in the parking permit zone, have valid car insurance registered to your name and address, have a valid email address, and want to pay by credit card, you can purchase your parking permit over the phone by calling 3-1-1.
If you wish to pay for your permit by cash, cheque, or debit card - or you are not the registered owner or lessee of the vehicle - you must purchase your permit in person. Please note credit card cheques are not accepted.
Peel off the liner and stick the decal in the following place:
Your vehicle may be ticketed and towed if you stick your decal on with any other method, such as tape or plastic.
Do not give your decal to another driver. They are non-transferrable.
Under section 20 of the Street and Traffic Bylaw, vehicles longer than 6.4 m (21') or higher than 2.2 m (7') are not eligible for residential parking permits. This includes:
